On a nice Saturday morning we decided to fulfill Massimo's wish and go to the beach...the real beach with seashells is what Massimo wanted to go to (not by the lake beach).
It was a little chilly at first but it warmed up quick. Boy did I forget how fine sand is and how it gets EVERYWHERE!
Dante was so excited about playing with his trucks in the sand. Abi just loves to play in the sand.
Daddy walked along the beach with the kids while I attempted to put together lunch...in the sand...no thanks for me! The kids didn't like the waves and Abrianna got scared and came running. Massimo screamed over the seaweed and didn't like it at all and daddy had to carry him over the seaweed (isn't that a site). We didn't stay very long but they still had a fun time!
Hard to believe we are celebrating 2 years! It does feel like a milestone though. We had a fun day...though it didn't end so fun with Dante ending up in the ER. We played outside (on of their favorite things to do)...and turns out that really didn't help Dante with his breathing issue later that day. Massimo & Abrianna went swimming at the neighbor's house...while Dante stayed home with dad and at that point I was a bad mommy for not taking him to the ER at that point in time...the pressure from the kids to go swimming and do birthday activities got to me!
Abi swims with Jessica & Taylor
Dante and Abrianna give a birthday high five!
On a warm Friday night we took the kids over to the Cold Stone by the movie theater and let them run wild!
This was almost something you see on tv it was so hilarious! The neighbor girls came to visit and decided to play with water balloons...they've done it all before but this time was so different...Massimo decided it was fun to get all wet and the girls got wind of that and had a field day on him! He was lovin' it and so did they because they didn't want to get all wet but it was fun to blast Massimo!
Jessica and Taylor tag team Massimo. Dante just watches & wonders what is happening to my big brother?!
I'm back up and ready!
Fun at the SF Aquarium by the Bay
We took a trip to the SF Aquarium by the Bay today to satisfy Massimo's constant wish to "see the ocean and fishies". At the end of the day we asked Massimo if he had fun (yes, of course he says) and his most favorite thing was the...scuba diver! Yes, that's all he talked about when we asked him what he saw. Of course when we jogged his memory and talked about the fish and what we did he enjoyed "finding Nemo" (one of his favorite movies - and where the fascination of scuba divers all started...don't be surprised if that's what he ends up being for Halloween!) and touching the Stingray and sharks...and outside of the aquarium he got to see trains (Bart), trolleys, buses, and of course the ocean! It was all very exciting for him to be in a big city like that with so much variety around him...so many things to see. The twins loved it, too. Abrianna got to interact a lot more since she is walking and more able, it was a little hard to let Dante crawl so he got to snack and check it all out from stroller view. He did get out at the end in the toddler area and got to touch the sea urchins and he loved that so much! He got really excited watching all the fish swim by. It was a fun day (and tiring chasing after at least 2 and sometimes 3).
